Accreditation Volunteer Training
Volunteer training is offered through online courses and in-person, in conjunction with select AACSB events.
Accreditation volunteer training is designed to prepare volunteers serving as a mentor, peer review team member, peer review team chair, and accreditation committee member to assist AACSB in its accreditation efforts.
Each training program provides an overview of the volunteer responsibilities, accreditation processes, and accreditation standards. Accreditation volunteer training is currently available to volunteers assigned to an accreditation volunteer position.
Committee training is offered before the first committee meeting of the fiscal year for all accreditation committee members.
Committee training consists of 3-5 prework e-learning modules, depending on the committee and experience level, covering topics including the committee role, accreditation processes, and accreditation standards. Prework is estimated to take about 5 hours to complete. The training programs culminates in a live training where committee members complete several activities and learn from experienced peers.
Committee training is assigned upon acceptance of a committee role. Volunteers will be notified by AACSB with instructions on how to access training materials upon assignment.

Training for PRT assignments using the 2020 standards is required for all volunteers prior to deployment.
Peer Review Team (PRT) training consists of 3-5 prework e-learning modules, depending on role and experience, covering topics including the PRT role, accreditation processes, and accreditation standards. Prework is estimated to take about 5 hours to complete and requires completion of end-of-module assessments. Once prework modules have been completed, PRT members will participate in a PRT visit simulation training which covers topics including evaluating school materials, report writing, and possible PRT visit scenarios.
Volunteer training is being deployed in the order of visits occurring under the 2020 standards, due to volume and demand. Volunteers will be notified by AACSB when training is available and how to register.
